It has been remade twice, first in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason, and again in 1976 with Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

The movie is okay, but the discription is all wrong. Janet Gaynor and Fredrick March star in this version, not Judy Garland and James Mason
