Peter Gunn

The Peter Gunn Show was an innovator in the classic american private eye genre in that the main character (Craig Stevens) was displayed as a sophisticated and cool private eye known for his 'hip' dressing and love for jazz. He worked with his police detective pal (Herschel Bernardi) and jazz singing girlfriend (Lola Albright) solving weekly crimes. The show ran from 1958 until 1961 and was known for its popular jazz themes as well as the character's abilities to solve weekly crimes. A lot of the jazz tracks that were introduced on the series are still popular today.
